There's plenty of hatchet fins out there, and I'm sure there are plenty of really minute details that I'm sure I'm unaware of, but this thing is perfect for this type of fin, and learning how to use it. I can adjust it's position in the fin box DURING a surf session, depending on what the wave size is, and thepivot that it gives me is wonderful. But the tool-less FCS system is eff-ing priceless!!!!
Put this on a 10 ft classic longboard, the FCS click lock? system works well and fit the box on my Ricky Carrol easily. While its been too cold on the East Coast to try it out yet it is clearly a well made high quality fin.
