Sally Fitzgibbons was all class on finals day as she attacked the glassy 6-8ft walls of Strickland Bay, winning her 12th CT event. The win takes her to #2 in the overall rankings & well placed to make a charge for the world title.

“It feels so good to be back in the winner’s circle,” Fitzgibbons said. “I set a goal to be in the Final 5 at the end of the year and I’ve been outside of it for a few events, so it's amazing to be rewarded for the work.” – Sally Fitz

Sal chose to ride her signature fin (Reactor Family) which provided plenty of speed in the barrel but also quick response, tight turns needed in the changing conditions throughout the event.

Morgan Cibilic was another standout, making his first CT final and continuing a dream run in his rookie season. Morg’s confident and powerful approach sees him enter the top 5 and well placed to capitalise on the next leg of the tour

“This feels unbelievable, to be honest,” Cibilic said. “iIf you asked me last year if I’d get a Quarterfinal, a Semifinal, and a Final finish from the four Australian events, I would have told you that you were tripping. It feels amazing, so I’m super stoked.
